The Merger
In January of 2020, two distinct congregations (Unites Peace & Faith Church and Maranatha Mission Church) came together with a shared vision and a collective mission to strengthen our community and deepen our spiritual journey. This merger was not merely an administrative decision, but a heartfelt commitment to the values we hold dear: love, compassion, and service to others. Over the past years, we have seen remarkable growth, not just in numbers but in the bonds of fellowship and friendship that have formed. We have worked together to support one another, to serve our community, and to spread the message of love and hope that is at the core of our beliefs.
Each of every member has played an essential role in making this merger a success—from our church leaders who have provided guidance and inspiration, to every volunteer and member who has given their time, talents, and love. As we look to the future, we continue to embrace this spirit of unity. We will continue to strive to be a beacon of hope and a source of strength for our community, ever mindful of the teachings of Christ that bind us together.
By fostering a nurturing environment, we aim to support individuals in their spiritual journey and provide tangible help where it’s needed the most. As we endeavor to reflect Christ’s love, we welcome everyone into our community to share in worship, fellowship, and impactful outreach! We exist to elevate and glorify our Savior, to inspire and disseminate the Gospel.
Our vision: To make disciples who make disciples as Matthew 28:19 tells us, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”
We believe in Jesus Christ as our only Savior and the source of our faith. His teachings and sacrifice are central to our spiritual journey.
The basis of our belief is the Bible, composed of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments. There are no other writings similarly inspired by God. We believe that Scripture in its entirety originated with God and that men chosen by Him were inspired by God to write His Word. Thus Scripture both speaks with the authority of God and reflects the backgrounds, styles and vocabularies of human writers. We hold that the Scriptures are infallible and inerrant in the original manuscripts. They are the unique, full and final authority on all matters of faith and practice. Understanding that no document can speak with the authority of the Scriptures it is helpful to have a statement of basic doctrinal belief, so long as the statement reflects the revelation of Scripture.
Love is the cornerstone of our faith. We strive to love one another, just as Christ loves us. We are committed to serving our community and beyond through outreach programs, volunteer efforts, and acts of kindness. We find hope in God’s grace and seek to share that hope with others, offering forgiveness, redemption, and healing.
Reaching out the lost, Caring for each other, Equipping saints for good work in the name of the Son and the power of Holy Spirit for the glory of the Father. We exist to elevate and glorify our Savior, to inspire and disseminate the Gospel.
There is one and only one living and true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, Preserver, and Ruler of the universe. God is infinite in holiness and all other perfections. God is all powerful and all knowing; and His perfect knowledge extends to all things, past, present, and future, including the future decisions of His free creatures. To Him we owe the highest love, reverence, and obedience. The eternal triune God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being.
God as Father reigns with providential care over His universe, His creatures, and the flow of the stream of human history according to the purposes of His grace. He is all powerful, all knowing, all loving, and all wise. God is Father in truth to those who become children of God through faith in Jesus Christ. He is fatherly in His attitude toward all men.
Christ is the eternal Son of God. In His incarnation as Jesus Christ He was conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. Jesus perfectly revealed and did the will of God, taking upon Himself human nature with its demands and necessities and identifying Himself completely with mankind yet without sin. He honored the divine law by His personal obedience, and in His substitutionary death on the cross He made provision for the redemption of men from sin. He was raised from the dead with a glorified body and appeared to His disciples as the person who was with them before His crucifixion. He ascended into heaven and is now exalted at the right hand of God where He is the One Mediator, fully God, fully man, in whose Person is effected the reconciliation between God and man. He will return in power and glory to judge the world and to consummate His redemptive mission. He now dwells in all believers as the living and ever present Lord.
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, fully divine. He inspired holy men of old to write the Scriptures. Through illumination He enables men to understand truth. He exalts Christ. He convicts men of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment. He calls men to the Savior, and effects regeneration. At the moment of regeneration He baptizes every believer into the Body of Christ. He cultivates Christian character, comforts believers, and bestows the spiritual gifts by which they serve God through His church. He seals the believer unto the day of final redemption. His presence in the Christian is the guarantee that God will bring the believer into the fullness of the stature of Christ. He enlightens and empowers the believer and the church in worship, evangelism, and service.
God calls us to a life of unity—not just as a suggestion, but as a powerful testimony of His love. In a world filled with division and discord, we, as believers, are called to be different. Ephesians 4:3 reminds us to “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” This unity isn’t about sameness but about coming together in love, despite our differences, under the name of Jesus.
At Live Church, unity is our strength. When we walk in love, humility, and forgiveness, we reflect Christ to the world. Jesus Himself prayed in John 17:21 that we would be one, just as He and the Father are one, so that the world may believe in Him. Our unity is a witness—it speaks louder than words.
